PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM TONY BLAUER

Greetings Everyone.

Once again, as I sit and write this, I realized how productive a time it is for the company, as we are growing internally, adding staff and expanding our training offerings. 

We recently hosted over 500 people here in our Virginia Beach, VA facility for the CrossFit 2009 Mid-Atlantic Qualifiers. Our facility was jammed with CrossFit athletes and spectators cheering on more than 140 male and female competitors across the region.  The top six men and women will compete July 10-12 at the 2009 CrossFit Games in Aromas, CA.  If you missed the recap, view the action here in my blog.

We are already set for a fast-pace summer, with our annual S.P.E.A.R. and PDR Summer Training Camp, about half a dozen S.P.E.A.R. courses, and much more.  Click here if you want to stay in the loop of training opportunities in your area. 

The facility has also started daily CrossFit classes, so if you're local or ever in the area, look us up and stop by. Contact Brendan Gilliam at brendan@crossfitobsession.com for details on classes.

S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM COMING TO NEW YORK AREA

The S.P.E.A.R. System™ Instructor Certification Course, designed to train trainers in the S.P.E.A.R. System’s strategies and tactics to survive sudden resistance or an ‘ambush’ during close quarter contact, will have two courses in the NY region.  The first S.P.E.A.R. System course is June 15-19 in Rochester, NY and the second takes place July 27-31 in Pennsauken, NJ, sponsored by MAR-VEL. 
  

And if those dates don't work, come train in our 16,000 ft facility, June 8-12 at BTS Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. Visit our calendar for all our training dates.
 

CROSSFIT CLUB CHANGES LIVES

Steve’s Club, a CrossFit Affiliate and non-profit organization, provides young adults—athletic and not—with coaching and training techniques used by elite and professional athletes around the world. Located in Camden, NJ, the facility is a positive environment for youth, making fitness fun and inspiring. The Club offers youth a chance for self-improvement and empowerment.

MORE S.P.E.A.R. FOR FRANK MIR

Coach Blauer was back in Las Vegas to help Frank Mir prep for UFC 100 and his heavyweight title fight with Brock Lesnar. While he was in Vegas, Coach B trained every day at CrossFit Las Vegas (CFLV) and filmed another one of his CrossFit Combatives episodes on 'Headlock Defense'.
